Snow guards go by many names: snow brakes, ice guards, snow stoppers, snow catchers, snow shields, snow cleats, snow jacks, snow stops, etc... so many names for products with the same goal: preventing catastrophic snow slides from roofs.
Ice dams can wreak havoc on a house and lead to structural problems. Homeowners end up dealing with blistered paint and damage to walls, ceilings, and the roof.
